New House!

The past 4 months have been such a roller coaster with trying to sell our house and buying a new one. I firmly believe that God was in this 110%. It is so amazing to look back and see how he led us through all of it.
So, back in October, we had a buyer for our house. It had been on the market since May, so we were pretty excited about it. We got the "approval letter" and immediately began packing things up, selling some things that wouldn't fit into our new house that we were buying etc. Well, a day before Thanksgiving (and 5 days before we were supposed to close) we learn that the documents wouldn't be ready by our set closing date. We just thought that it was due to the Holidays and that it would just be postponed. Well....3 weeks later, we are STILL waiting! So finally, our Realtor takes over and switches the guy to a real mortgage company. He had been using some guy out of Austin, who works for a company out of Miami, who had no mortgage license, and who just kept giving everyone the run around. A couple days after setting the guy up with a real bank, we learned that he did not have the finances to be buying our house. In fact, I have no idea why he was even looking!! It made us pretty furious to say the least. However, we didn't let ourselves get too worked up over it because we knew God had a plan and we just had to keep praying.
We had to put our house back on the market, which meant we had to unpack some things to make it presentable for showing. Luckily, I have a great husband, and I came home from work to find the house redecorated! We moved the boxes that we wouldn't be needing out to the garage and our house was ready. Unexpectedly, had quite a few showings and on Jan 11th, we got a call from our Realtor.
We were on the shuttle at the airport on the way to the terminal for our trip to Guatemala. We accepted the offer right there and signed the papers immediately when we got off the plane 5 days later. By this time, the house we originally wanted to buy had been sold (on the same day we found out we were pregnant), so we had to start the search over. The day after we got back from Guatemala, we spent the whole morning looking at houses all over McKinney, Frisco, and Allen. Towards the end of our long list, we found THE ONE! Immediately after we walked in, we got "the feeling". It was perfect, it had everything that we wanted and was in a great neighborhood with awesome schools. We kept thinking that something had to be wrong with it or that it already had a contract on it. But no, God had it waiting for us all along.
We made an offer and they accepted! We held off packing this time and remained very skeptical that they buyers of our house would back out again. But, here we are. We are all moved in and love our new house. There is still tons to do, but I know it will get done over time.
We had a huge snowstorm 2 days into our move, which couldn't have come at a better time. I got to stay home from work and get started on unpacking/organizing!
